Through their Sole Plus Shoe Design Contest, Sole Plus community workshops, the Art+Sole+Life tour, and the Homeless Shoe Documentarythey have been able to stimulate philanthropy and social activism nationally. Sole Plus is a non profit organization based in Atlanta, GA whose focus is art is a tool for social activism.
The closing reception will feature live performances by dancers from Impact Dance Company, My Bollywood Studio, and Body & Soul Dance Theatre, many of whom are featured in her work. Dance With Me is an in-depth exploration of Nicole’s fascination with dance and motion as a vehicle for conveying human emotion. This auction is during the closing reception of solo exhibit, Dance with Me, which features the work of fine art photographer Nicole Kent. On Saturday, Novemat 1310 Gallery thirty five shoe Converse Allstar shoes redesigned by artists from the tri-county area will be auctioned to help fund arts education programs in South Florida by Sole Plus. Thiry-five South Florida artists tell the stories of everyday life using Converse All Stars as their canvas.
